La huella de africania

La Huella de Africania programming was tailor-made for Morgan State University students, featuring university lecturers, cultural activities, networking and a cultural presentation on behalf of the visiting students. This curriculum-itinerary helped them think about Black Colombia’s relationship to the African Continent throughout European colonization up until the present and all the ways we can see African Retentions in the language, the cultural activities, and even the connections through food.

Here’s What Students Had to Say

I felt connected to the people while learning the culture, seeing that it’s similar to what my ancestors practiced it was just a beautiful experience to be part of.

I loved the home-cooked meals, I met a lot of cool people out here and they showed me that we are not much different across the diaspora.
