Yout h of the diaspora | end of year excursion
African Diaspora Alliance experienced 5 days in Cali, Colombia, action-packed with activities and encounters that will stay with students for their lives. The Youth of the Diaspora experience allowed students to meet with local historians, students, story-tellers and community organizations to learn more about the Afro-Colombian experience after learning a great deal throughout the year during their after-school program.
This itinerary explored Black history and realities in Colombia and was built with guidance from the Director of the African Diaspora Alliance to correspond with their after-school program curriculum.
